Hennessey Venom GT

"The Venom GT simply expresses the supercar that I have always dreamed of building for myself. I wanted a nimble, lightweight mid-engine chassis with a powerful American V8 engine. Maximum power-to-weight ratio is critical for a performance vehicle and it is the cornerstone of our car," says John Hennessey, owner of Hennessey Performance Engineering.

Imagine driving in a red, yellow or black sports car that not only looks luxurious on the outside and you can show it off to your friends, but a sports car that also has a powerful V8 engine, lightweight, and moves at lightning speed all at the same time. If you're looking for an excellent car that meets or even supersedes these expectations, the Hennessey Venom GT is a must-have.

According to Wired Magazine's Bill Caswell, "To call the Venom a car is a serious understatement. It goes from zero to 200 mph in 20.2 seconds. It isn't a car, it's a rocket meant to destroy automotive records. It's almost impossible to describe the Venom GT. It weighs 2,685 pounds and puts down 1,200 horsepower…You can also raise the front of the car to clear unusual driveways and this car has incredible speed."

The Venom GT is powered by General Motors' 6.2 L LS9 supercharged V8 and it produces 1200 brake horsepower. The Hennessey Venom GT has a production carb weight of less than 2,400 lbs. and is aided by lightweight carbon fiber bodywork and Michelin carbon fiber wheels.

The Hennessey Venom GT also has Brembo brakes with 6-piston calipers in front and 4-piston calipers in the back on carbon ceramic rotors which fuels Venom GT's power. The Hennessey Venom GT has received positive reviews from Jay Leno and by staff writers for magazines such as Road& Truck and CNET Car Tech. The average price for this car ranges from $650,000 to $950,000.
